The birth of the Freedom Central (model) Railway began in early 1999. I had gotten an Aristocraft 4-6-2 Pacific class steam locomotive, even though I The Freedom Central Railway (I use "Railway" to denote the outdoor layout, while "Railroad" is used to specify the fictional rail network being modelled.) started life as a series of large scale modules. These modules were intended to represent the Freedom Central Railroad's Curriers New York Depot and run-around track. The 6-module section was intended to include signals and an operating railroad defect detector. After moving into my current residence, plans began for the new railroad, and those plans continue.
